Mystery Depth of the Ocean

There are so many animals and plants that have been recorded in the list of animals and plants in the world. But there are still many mysteries in the sea that are unknown to humans. Perhaps there are very many undiscovered sea creatures and are listed in the list of animals or plants in the world. We already know that 70% of the Earth consists of water, of which 94% are oceans and 6% are on land such as ground water that we pump then used for bathing or other purposes. Inside the sea, only 5% has been explored by humans and the remaining 95% is still a mystery in the sea located deeper than the Mariana Trench.
Well, the depth of the sea is divided into 5 zones, among them.

1. Sunlit Zone

This zone has a depth of 0 to 200 meters. Sunlit zone means that the sun shines brightly in the sea. Under 40 meters there are shallow coral reefs and seaweed forests (the most dynamic and productive ecosystem on earth) and at a depth of 40 meters is the maximum amount of recreational scuba diving allowed. This 40 meter depth is also the deepest swimming pool in the world in a 4-star Montegrotto hotel in Padua, Italy. At a depth of 60 meters there are some whales that kill and place the second world war submarine and the deepest underwater cyclist in the world in 2008. At a depth of 70 meters, you will find many whale sharks which are the largest fish of all types of fish shark. At a depth of 92 meters, you will see the RMS Lusitania ship which sank in 1915. The ship took 18 minutes to reach the sea floor and sink 1198 passengers. Then above 100 meters, the water pressure gets bigger, dangerous, and can damage blood vessels and stop blood flow. A diver will get hurt at this depth. There is also a giant octopus with a length of 20 feet. At this depth, you will find the K-141 kursk Russian Nuclear submarine. And at a depth of 128 meters there was a world record of marriages in the sea in 2013.

2. Twilight Zone

This zone has a depth of 200 to 1100 meters. In this zone you will find a giant oarfish 35 feet long and weigh 600 pounds, then there is a Japanese spider crab that is 12 feet long and weighs 44 pounds. At a depth of 330 meters is the deepest limit for scuba diving because if it's deeper, the water pressure is getting bigger. Then the depth of 500 meters is the deepest limit of blue whales can dive. The blue whale has a length of 108 feet and can produce 188 decibels of sound that reaches a distance of 1000 miles. Furthermore, at a depth of 527 meters is the deepest boundary Penguin can dive into the sea. At this depth, Penguins feel water pressure as suppressed by polar bears. Then the depth of 600 meters is the deepest limit of ADS (Atmospheric diving system suit) can dive into the sea. ADS Suit is a costume in the first Spongebob movie. If explored more deeply, you will find a 5-foot long European eel (European eel) that can be found in the European sea. And at a depth of 900 meters, you will find a 40-foot squid octopus (squid octopus).

3. Midnight Zone

This zone has a depth of 1100 to 4000 meters. In this zone, sunlight cannot penetrate here. You won't see anything except by using a lamp. If humans are at this depth, they will die instantly because of the enormous water pressure. At a depth of 1100 meters there is the deepest volcano in the world in the Pacific Ocean. Then at a depth of 1260 meters there are many deadly sharks, they move fast and can survive more than 70 years. At this depth there is also a large turtle with strong body armor to withstand water pressure. At a depth of 2000 meters there is a black dragonfish which is a very dangerous fish found in the Bermuda Triangle Sea, the Atlantic Ocean. Then at a depth of 2214 meters is the deepest limit of sperm whale (whale) can dive. And at a depth of 3000 meters, there is the deepest coral reef in the world. In 1912, the Titanic sank because it hit a giant ice rock. The ship sank to the sea floor with a depth of 3740 meters.

4. The Abyss

At a depth of 4000 meters, the midnight zone ends. The most frightening thing in this zone is the enormous water pressure, which is 11000 pounds / square inch or 5.5 tons / square inch. Are there sea creatures that can live in this zone? The answer is yes. The creatures are viperfish, anglefish, and canine fish at depths of more than 4000 meters. At a depth of 4900 meters hydrothermal vents will be found emitting hot water called "black smokers". Then there was the SS Rio Grande ship which sank in 1941 in the South Atlantic Ocean. This ship is a sinking ship with the deepest location, which is 5670 meters. This lost sinking ship was discovered in 1996.

5. Trench Zone

At a depth of 6000 meters, the abyss zone ends and a trench zone appears. Water pressure in this zone is 1100 times larger than sea level. Just as someone overwritten 50 jumbo jets without tool protection, and the human body would break instantly. Are there still living things that can live in this zone? The answer is yes. Namely the fish that live in the deepest sea named snailfish. This fish was found at a depth of 8021 meters in the Mariana Trench in 2014. Then found plants that lived in the deepest sea, namely xenophyophore algae at a depth of 10492 meters. Humans found the deepest trough, the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean in 2014. This trough has a depth of 11000 meters.

I hope this article will make you increasing your knowledge. Thank you so much.
